Theme - Natural World In order to celebrate the launch of CLOUD News & Picture Agency we are holding a Photo Competition with the theme NATURAL WORLD, which encapsulates the essence of CLOUD. The lucky winner will walk away with a top of the range Olympus E510 professional Digital SLR camera complete with 14-42mm lens. The competition is based upon a theme of the Natural World. A very general topic which could include nature, wildlife, weather, the elements etc etc. The key criteria is NATURAL. Images must portray a subject area which is of natural beauty in its existence. The judges will be looking for a winning image that encapsulates a Natural event or object. Competition Rules: 1. All submissions must be in a digital format and entrants own work. 2. A maximum of 2 images are allowed per entrant. 3. Subject entries from all countries is allowed. 4. Digital images to be submitted in JPEG format, low resolution. Minimum resolution of 700 pix wide, Maximum file size 500Kb. 5. All images to be labelled with TITLE/ DATE TAKEN/PHOTOGRAPHER NAME/SHORT DESCRIPTION 6. All submitted images must be emailed to pics@cloudnews.co.uk and titled PHOTO COMP ENTRY 7. Image refining via the usual adjustment of levels, lighting etc is acceptable. However major manipulation is NOT allowed. Please remember the image must be portrayed as 'natural' as possible. 8. Competition closing date for entry is Monday 31 December 2007. 9. Winners will be notified by email within 2 weeks of closing date and winning images will be uploaded to the CLOUD website shortly after. 10. All images retain author copyright and will not be passed on to third parties without prior agreement with author. CLOUD reserves the right to utilise all submissions for use within the CLOUD website. 11. All queries to be made via email at pics@cloudnews.co.uk and titled PHOTO COMP QUERY 12.
